I can bat R/L about equally well. Not to say I'm very good at either, but

I feel comfortable either way. That typed, I remember the first time I turned around to try a left handed swing after practice. Coach's son was on the mound, I was at the plate, and my step-brother was catching. I swung at the first or second pitch and made contact, which surprised the hell outta me, but the ball hit my step-brother in the eye and he developed a beauty of a shiner. His mom blamed ME for trying to bat left-handed and never said a word to her darling cherub about the wisdom of getting behind the plate without a catcher's mask. That always pissed me off. How was his shiner my fault?
